Jay-Z takes you to locations that changed his life via an epic treasure hunt

Jay-Z is a true innovator. When he declared, "I'm not a businessman, I'm a business man!" he set a course for himself that few entrepreneurs have been able to match. A recent example of his marketing prowess is the launch of his tell-all book titled "Jay-Z Decoded".

To generate buzz around the launch he put in place a very unorthodox treasure hunt. Pages from the book were placed in real world locations around the globe, with a great number in New York City. Each location represents an important moment in Jay-Zs life and the page found in that location is the account of that important moment. Those that find the pages, of which there are 300, are invited to claim them online at a special Bing-powered Decoded website and discover the locations of other pages. Those that discover the most pages win two exclusive tickets to a Jay-Z/ Coldplay concert in Las Vegas. There are also 200 books to be won.

What a great way to launch a "memoirs" so that the fans can experience the stories of their idol's life versus simply reading about them. Amazing.
